The best place to go is of course Notting Hill. Get off at Ladbroke Grove station and go down Lancaster Road to start magnolia hunting.
Lancaster Road is definitely a Notting Hill staple with 2 rows of brightly colored houses facing each other. On one side of the street, the houses are a bright and vibrant mixture of purple, blue, green and yellow. The other side has a deeper color palette with bright pops of lime green and ballet pink. If you are in the area during magnolia season you will be spoiled not only for colour but also with the abundance of pink blooms.
This is probably the most Instagrammed magnolia tree in London, since it is so close to the touristic Portabello road.
Streets bordered on the north side by All Saints church are densely populated by magnolia trees. Here you can find quite a few magnolia varieties.
Located just a few meters away from Colville Gardens Colville Terrace has a pretty pink magnolia tree. A violet colored house behind it works like a perfect backdrop, you couldn’t ask for more.
